I'll take an order of Random.
Nima just a little while ago brilliantly explained my ditsy spacey nature: "She's in the spiritual realm. She's already in the 6th Valley and we're all hanging out in the 1st." Shamim adds, "Or she's in the 6th valley and we're just sitting outside by the gate."
Love them. Today I went to the center rushing to get there by 11 because I was under the impression that the Baha'i Cluster reflection meeting was starting promptly at that time, and saw but a splattering of devotees waiting to say some morning prayers together. Bewildered and lost I stumbled into the devotional to learn that the reflection meeting was next week. Goodness. I got into my prayer mode and we had an amazing time. And one seeker was just so spiritually on tap it was amazing- I really enjoyed talking with her. It turned into lunch with Jake, Sham, Diane, Nima and his fiance Neda, whom I hadn't met but she had heard a lot about me so it was a pleasure! What a beautiful day it has been thus far.
And RANDOM! That's how I roll. I'm in the spiritual realm and can't get my dates right and often step out into rushing traffic in a daze, but a lot of good things happen along the way.
It's made me have this epiphany that I need to stop planning my life away. I'm reading a book introducing Buddhism and I have so much to learn from Beloved Manifestation Buddha. I adore Him. He teaches that we never live in the present, that we're always going towards happiness, towards some goal that we'll never reach. It's only in meditation and by living in a state of prayer that we'll realize the glorious nature of NOW. Baha'u'llah has certainly helped me develop such a strong love for all the other Prophets before Him- Their messages are all part of a progressive Revelation, but we shouldn't let go of such essential truths such as letting go of the ego, meditating, existing in the present moment- things Buddha taught, and one of the many things Baha'u'llah taught in Texts such as The Seven Valleys. So, long story short, no more planning!
Now, laundry, piano, French, Lebanese for dinner, perhaps an evening run? Uh-oh....
I guess I'm still the planner. But it was a lovely thought, anyway! At least I'm planning to stop planning!
